Mumbai Terror Attack - Allegory of Abhorrence and Annihilation
As I close my eyes to sleep flashes of gory blood, dark fire, parched tears and malformed bodies oscillate in my mind and forces me to wake up... The cacophony of relentless bombardments hammers in my head! 59 hours of cruel, compassionless, callous killings... hatred, anger and pain transfused with detestation and death! 1407 kms away, I as an Indian and an individual feel vulnerably infirm, devastated, disabled and enraged! 15 hours in front of the television and newspapers made me realize just one thing-the horror of terrorism has left all of us completely insecure and wobbly! All of us have become insignificantly anonymous - yes, I am talking about you and me! Politicians blabber about taking action! What sort of action are these people talking about? Pronouncing a few verbs and adjectives and doing nothing about terrorism will not help anymore! Its time we as Indians ally against terrorism, since we are the sole victims! How many more innocent lives will be lost? For how long can we tolerate such injustice and infringement?
My heartfelt condolence to all the martyrs and heroes and my sincere tribute to all the people who went through this traumatic attack...
Mumbai 26/11/08 - 29/11/08 is the wake up call for us!

Anu,
They say "Ships are safe in shipyards but thats not the place they are MEANT for!!!!".
All the people who were safely sitting in their homes and seeing this horrible drama (courtsey so called fastest channels with loads of unknown truth) should atleast do a self introspection that do we really deserve this and whats the best we can do.(can we start with excercising our voting rights).
I really want to come out of this misplaced optimism that I am living in a very great and safe country and want to live with the naked truth that its just a matter of time and they would be on my doors.
Thanks

A guy living 3 rooms next to mine lost both of his parents in the incident. A lot of us (around 100) sat glued to the small television set in the mess hall. Being in Mumbai, I felt what everyone felt. And that was that we wanted blood for blood, an eye for an eye. 20 years of peace has given us nothing. I say (with due to respect to Jagdish Gandhi) give war a chance...
Noce post. Even i wrote smthing on it at www.rachitforu.blogspot.com
U wud have to search for it a little from the archieve but it has a similar pic of hotel Taj Mahal Palace
A thought provoking read. Really made me sit back and think about what is becoming of this country and its Politicians. Politicians who promised action but never got down to doing what they promised, are as good as the terrorists that scarred our country.
